2020 IAEA Scientific Forum at the IAEA 64th General Conference

Eric Ingersoll and Kirsty Gogan of LucidCatalyst were pleased to attend this conference which highlighted the critical importance for nuclear power to have a seat at the table in global discussions over energy policies to curb emissions and meet climate goals. Kirsty Gogan, co-founder of LucidCatalyst and Energy for Humanity, talked about the importance of building a wider coalition around nuclear power and emphasized the importance of communicating about shared values.

ClearPath and LucidCatalyst held a webinar on the role of flexible nuclear energy in future energy systems. Rich Powell of ClearPath moderated, Eric Ingersoll presented and panelists (Dr Rachel Slaybaugh of ARPA-E, Dr. Shannon Bragg-Sitton of Idaho National Lab, and Prof. Melissa Lott of Columbia University) discussed findings from the newly published LucidCatalyst Study, which derived the maximum allowable capital cost for advanced reactors by modeling their performance in four of the major power markets in the U.S. in 2034.
