LucidCatalyst's Antonio Vaya Soler Moderated a Panel at the Inaugural Clean Firm Power LATAM Summit

Antonio Vaya Soler of LucidCatalyst, representing LucidCatalyst and Terra Praxis, delivered introductory remarks and moderated a panel on the role of nuclear energy in Latin America's clean power landscape at the inaugural Clean Firm Power Latin America Summit.
The summit brought together leaders from energy, digital infrastructure, policy, finance and technology in Mexico City on February 11 to address the region's need for clean, round-the-clock power—demand pushed sharply upward by AI, hyperscale data centres and industrial electrification.
The session Antonio moderated—"Nuclear Momentum on the Rise for Latin America?"—examined whether small modular reactors can supply reliable clean power to grids, industry and digital facilities, and what regional cooperation and regulatory innovation their adoption would require.
He was joined by Carol Berrigan, Executive Director for International Government Affairs & Supply Chain at the Nuclear Energy Institute; Facundo Deluchi, Programme Manager Officer in the Latin American and Caribbean Division of the IAEA's Technical Cooperation Department; Oscar Leandro, Vice President of Corporate Development at NANO Nuclear Energy; Dr. Jorge Andrés Molina Insfrán, Executive Secretary Minister of Paraguay's Radiological and Nuclear Regulatory Authority; and Dr. Javier C. Palacios Hernández, Director General of Mexico's National Institute of Nuclear Investigations.
The questions the panel returned to—cost, financing and regulatory readiness—sit at the centre of LucidCatalyst's work on the market potential and economics of small modular reactors, and of the firm's continuing engagement across Latin America on how those projects get financed and licensed.
